Bringing All the Butterflies Together

A few years ago, I started a series of watercolor-style butterflies. Next to birds, they are one of my favorite photography/art subjects! As I continued making them, I eventually had enough illustrations to turn them into a calendar.

When it came time to create the cover, I wanted something a little more interesting than just picking one butterfly, so I pulled all of the butterfly elements out of the individual calendar designs and created a toss pattern using the entire collection.

This is one of my favorite series of artworks, and I love using the butterfly elements in various ways - like this sticker I currently have on my water bottle!

I recently joined Ashleigh Fish's Magic Mockup Maker membership and decided to start dropping the butterfly pattern into some of the mockups. I've been having a lot of fun seeing it show up on different products. Results are below. I especially had fun changing the trim colors on the baby onesie/bodysuit!
