Here Comes the Sun: Exploring a New Style

Every so often, I like to step outside my usual creative process and experiment with a different style. Here Comes the Sun is one of those explorations, and I’m so glad I took the leap! Inspired by the ‘papiers’ style of Matisse, this collection layers bold suns, organic leaves, and soaring birds into a cheerful celebration of light and life.

Several of the bird elements were actually created from reference photos I’ve taken myself, reimagined into abstract forms. My hope is that they still carry their movement in the sky!

This all began with a simple art prompt, and before I knew it, it had snowballed into an entire collection.
